Just came across the Swedish group Little Dragon, this is one of the stand out tracks from last year's Machine Dreams album. Gives my head a rest from all that italo business I've been mainlining for the past few months.... JB
I had to escape, the city was sticky and cruel Maybe i should have called you first But i was dying to get to you I was dreaming while i drove The long straight road ahead, uh huh yeah Could taste your sweet kisses Your arms opened wide This fever for you is just burning me up inside
I drove all night to get to you, is that alright? I drove all night, crept in your room Woke you from your sleep, to make love to you Is that alright? I drove all night
What in this world keeps us from falling apart No matter where i go i hear the beating of our one heart I think about you when the night is cold and dark uh huh yeah No one can move me the way that you do Nothing erases this feeling between me and you oooh
I drove all night to get to you, is that alright? I drove all night, crept in your room Woke you from your sleep to make love to you Is that alright, I drove all night
Could taste your sweet kisses, your arms opened wide This fever for you is just burning me up inside
I drove all night to get to you, is that alright? I drove all night, crept in your room Is that alright? i drove all night I drove all night to get to you is that alright?? I drove all night crept in your room..
Blur recording a second version of To The End with the one and only Francoise Hardy. Amazed there is video footage of this collaboration, I was imagining how great it would be if there was a photograph or some video of this moment years agao, but had given up on it actually existing. But then, out of nowhere on YouTube.... : D
I Think the 90's were a great year for experimenting Female musicians, finally starting to get deserved recognition and some Respect, we had Sonic Youth in the forefront with Kim Gordon telling you about her friend Goo and so on,Pixies/Breeders with Kim deal, Hole, My Bloody valentine,L7, PJ Harvey, Dee-Lite with Lady miss Kier, Diamanda Galas, Tori Amos, Mazzy Star, i mean i could go on and on (Badhu!!)but i will stop here and have a daydreaming break listening to Lush.
To stay within the spirit of dear little ol' France within the 1930's, and since J.B had the great idea to introduce the Genius vision of Jean Vigo, i though we should therefore stay within the decadence and politically incorrect spirit of the Frenchies, may the party go on and Vive la Guillotine!!!
